East Gippsland Taekwondo was formed in 1995 after Master Tony moved back to Lakes Entrance and with the help of Master Kim, started teaching taekwondo to students in East Gippsland.

Ben begun his taekwondo journey with the club in 2002, and has dedicated more than two decades to developing his skills while helping others achieve their own goals. He became an instructor in late 2012 and continues to support the club's growth and long-standing community values. Ben is passionate about developing people through martial arts and believes Taekwondo should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience, or ability. | |

David started his taekwondo journey with his daughter. As they achieved their black belts together, David begun instructing and found that helping others acheive their goals was his true passion. After instructing in Bairnsdale for over a decade, David has taken on the role as Head Instructor of our Lakes Entrance club in late 2025. | |

Kris joined EGTKD in 2018, after relocating to the area and obtaining her black belt at Kununurra Taekwondo. Kris began assisting with instructing and taking weekend sparring sessions, wanting to help students see the variety of taekwondo. Kris instructs in Bairnsdale with fortnightly sparring sessions open to yellow belts and above. |
